From Care Leaver to Creator: How Morgan Louise Is Bringing Affordable Personalisation to Families Across Dorset

When Dorset care leaver Morgan Louise founded Morgz Louise Personalisation, she wasn’t just starting a business—she was carving out a space where creativity, affordability and community impact could coexist.

Growing up in care with very little, Morgan relied on imagination to bring joy into her world. With few toys and limited resources, she taught herself to craft, create and make something out of nothing. Those early moments of resourcefulness would quietly shape her future.

As an adult, Morgan faced further challenges. Living with disabilities and vulnerabilities made traditional 9–5 work difficult, often leaving her feeling out of place and without a clear purpose. But one thing always remained: her love for making things.

She also noticed a growing divide in the personalised-gifting market. Many businesses charged high prices, leaving families and small businesses negotiating or going without. Morgan believed personalised, meaningful gifts shouldn’t have to come with a luxury price tag. Determined to make custom products accessible, she launched Morgz Louise Personalisation, offering affordable, on-trend items for children, families, small businesses and corporate clients.

Whether someone sends her one photo or ten, Morgan brings their idea to life—designing everything from clothing and stationery to bespoke gifts and keepsakes. She often operates on modest profit margins, by choice, because the joy she can offer customers matters more to her than maximising revenue.

What truly defines Morgan’s business, however, is her commitment to giving back. Supported by the Care Leavers Association throughout her own journey—and especially by her personal advisor, Heidi Jordan—Morgan now donates a percentage of her monthly profits to the charity. Every Christmas season, she goes even further, giving 10% of all fair and market earnings. She has already run community giveaways, and is currently hosting a charity raffle with 100% of proceeds going directly to the association.

Morgan also credits her partner’s steadfast belief in her. His emotional and financial support helped transform her passion into a sustainable venture, especially at times when others assumed crafting was just another fleeting hobby.

Today, Morgan continues to grow her audience, sharing her creations and updates on Facebook while steadily expanding her customer base. Some commissions—such as wedding items—remain private, but her widening collection demonstrates the creativity, care and detail that define her work.

What began with a young girl leaving care, unsure of her future, has grown into a heartfelt small business rooted in resilience, community and purpose. Morgz Louise Personalisation stands as proof of how far someone can go when they’re supported—and when they choose to give back in return.
