Local Musical Theatre Group Calls for Men to Take Centre Stage
Men with a passion for singing, dancing and acting are being encouraged to step into the spotlight as Wessex Musical Theatre launches a call for new male performers.
The local group is actively seeking men of all ages and experience levels who love musical theatre and want to be part of a friendly, welcoming company. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or someone who has always fancied giving musicals a go, the group would love to hear from you.
This May half-term, Wessex Musical Theatre will be bringing Dolly Parton’s hit musical 9 to 5 to the stage, with rehearsals already underway. The production is one of several exciting engagements planned throughout the year, offering performers multiple opportunities to get involved both on and off stage.
A spokesperson for the group said they are particularly keen to attract more men to ensure strong casting and to continue producing high-quality shows for local audiences.
“Musical theatre thrives on diversity, energy and enthusiasm,” they said. “We’re a lovely, supportive group and we’d love more men to join us and be part of what we do.”
Anyone interested in auditioning or finding out more is invited to register their interest by emailing info@wessexmusicaltheatre.co.uk.
No matter your background, if you love musicals and want to be part of a vibrant local theatre community, now is the perfect time to get involved.
